the ER, 30 weeks and booger picking

2 year-olds. go figure. now that reagan's mode of travel is constant running, he is a human bruise. our tally in the past 12 months is now at 3 visits to the emergency room. last june was the broken arm, last month was the hot dog incident and last night was the gaping head wound that had to be sealed up with 6 stitches. yeah, that's about right. reagan tripped and hit his head on the corner of the dresser and cut a huge gash into his forehead. thankfully while we were waiting(for nearly 5 hours) to get stitched up, our little man found a vacuum to occupy his time. as far as hospital visits go, reagan was in remarkably good spirits and was easily entertained for the duration of the visit. the hardest part was holding my teeny child down on a bed while he was screaming my name at the top of his lungs as the doctor stitched his head up. MOOOOMMMMMYYY! heartwrenching. at least in this picture, the smile is larger than the head wound.

on a happier note, today is my 30 week mark. only 10 more weeks and then i will have 2 children to cart off to the emergency room.

reagan's latest habit he has picked up. pleased as punch with himself!

Oh my goodness! Bless your heart! I know that was scary for both of y'all! Did everybody think he was crazy playing with the vacuum? Be careful making all those visits-they might call DHR.

You are so darn cute!

My word! we've been to the emergency room 3 times in the past 2 yrs. Not for our kids--for us. Oh well, don't you love those ER waits? And why do these things happen after hours and on the weekends? Prompt Care has worked well for us when Whitney caught her finger and it wouldn't stop bleeding, it's like the ER but shorter waiting time, and a 50 % off discount on the final bill.

Poor little Reagan, I can sympathize with him, I can't even count how many times I was in the ER as a kid. And I don't ever remember having a vacuum to play with.
You look great Heidi!

Poor Reagan! And what patience you had for the 5 hours in the waiting room. You look great by the way! :) How exciting that you are almost to single digits in weeks left of the pregnancy.

Dang girl! We haven't been to the ER yet (at least not for Everett. Will, now that's a different story). My fingers are crossed that Everett can hold out as long as possible before dragging us there.

And seriously, you are one of the smallest pregnant women I know! Any word on the middle name for little Miss?

I thought for sure we would have been to the er with Hudson by now. I always said he would have stiches or a broken bone before he was 2 but what do you know? He's 4 and we haven't had that yet (knock on wood) You are super cute!

You are my role model for pregnant women. you look good girl. now, if I could convince you to bear my first child. that whole pregnancy thing does not excite me.

Reagan looks like he's in good spirits, poor little guy. He's got a great smile!

And HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!

Heidi, this is Elizabeth from the Tuscaloosa ward! What up girl! I was browsing friends blogs, and found they had URL's to other friends blogs, and I found yours! I have moved back west. I hope things are well for you! Stay away from the ER, girl!

I hope that Reagan is doing better, he looks like it didn't phase him too much. You on the other hand look wonderful! Good luck for the next 10 weeks.
