anywhooo, this new cut isn't anything outrageous. i'm not JEM or anything.
JEM or not, i think it is great. i just sat down and told the stylist i wanted something youthful and non-mommyish and easy to do yet slightly dramatic. and as an added bonus if it could be a little bit like victoria beckham's hair when it was long, that would be fantastic. (victoria is my current crush. now if only katie holmes would go away so that we could be best friends...)
TA DA!
the day of:
those of you that have followed my hairstyles of late are probably remarking to yourselves, "heidi, that i just like that time you wanted your hair long with loose waves. only you used a hillary duff photo." i know, i just like that look. straight, flat hair isn't for me. the bigger the better!
my personal recreation of the style:
furthermore, judging from these photos, i like to wear aprons all the time.
thomas seems to like it too. but he has told me to stop staring at myself in the mirror and fluffing my hair all day. i say, i'll fluff all i want! it means i actually like it! would he rather have the usual grumpy, whiny, complaining depressed heidi? well, about my hair anyway? haircuts can't fix everything!

Looks great! I can't remember the last time I left a salon happy either. It usually takes a few days and tons of compliments before I'm okay with it. You've inspired me to see if my hair is long enough to wear curly yet.
Love it! now how did you do it? with curlers or a flat iron?
i actually went and purchased a new curling iron! the 80s are so coming back. i think it is a 3/4 inch size. i even had the stylist give me a tutorial so that i was doing the curling just right...it's all in the pre-curl twist of the hair.
I love it! I think it fits you.
Super cute hair! I too went a little Posh Spice myself, but the shorter version. Now that it is growing out, maybe longer is better for new baby ponytail management. I might have to take a picture of you to my next appointment. (I always take a picture, that is the only way I get a decent haircut.)
Way tre' cute Heidi! Love it!
Dang girl! You look smokin'! Seriously, probably the best haircut I've seen on you in a long time (not that the others were good - this one is just the best). Congrats!
And way to buck trend and inflitrate "Blondies". Look out world, us brunetties are taking over!!
I love your hair! I believe that a hairstylist can really brighten or ruin your day. My hairstylist is on maternity leave and well things didn't go so well with the replacement I went to. I should have been more thorough in my background check on her!!
Yes yes, looks really good. I like all the layers -- not too many, not too few. Very nice. Fluff away.
wow--it's unusual that someone new will leave me a comment and i click on them and am instantly in love...it must have been the reference to big 80's hair. or jem. i just can't decide.....
ohhhhh, yes....
you and i are gonna get along juuuuuuuuust fine!
btw: LOVE your blog name
and secondly,
come back to mine and check out the frackin AWESOME photos i just got from my buddy who went to high school with joel mchale!! good stuff.
Love your hair! As much as I love mine short, I saw a picture of it when it was long the other day and it made me want to grow it back out. And, then seeing yours really makes me want to. But, mine would not be that cute! You didn't want to reverse the rolls and visit Reagan's haircuttin haven? :)
Valoree
cute hair!!
it looks purdy!
Oh Heidi! It looks beautiful! I am never able to fix my hair as cute as they do at the salon but your hair looks even cuter the next day!
It looks great, Heidi! and I agree with Caroline- I think you did an even better job when you fixed it the next day! You look HOT- even in an apron ;-) hehe I'm pretty much never happy after getting my hair cut.
