girl stuff

just wanted to show off two of the fun things i have received from friends for scarlett grace's impending arrival.
my incredibly craft friend, hilary, made this tower of diapers for me and put all sorts of fun girl things on it. there are several different pairs of socks that she hand-applied beading to. where did she get the patience and desire to do that? who knows, she already has two kids of her own.

anywhoo, i was thrilled and pleased!

one of my other friends, jessica, made this pillowcase dress for scarlett grace,(she is starting her own dressmaking biz if anyone else is interested). amazing! i don't know about where y'all live, but these are all the rage down South. all the little girls have them and they have monogramming on the front. then when they get older, they can be converted into a swingy shirt! i wish i could wear it!

in other news, i went to el doctoro yesterday and somehow he agreed to induce me during my 39th week! hooray! so that means that scarlett grace will be here sometime around june 28, 29 or 30th! thank goodness for a doctor that understands how important it is to book your mother's plane ticket so that it is affordable!

finally, hopefully everyone noticed my use of scarlett grace's middle name, 4 times now! that is the name that thomas picked to accomodate the first name. i think it sounds great. i can't wait to yell it out the back door!

That's a great name that she will have! And yay for your doctor inducing you. I am hoping to be induced with my next child . .. my induction with Ellie was wonderful! Plus it works well in my need to plan everything.

That dress and the diaper cake/present ensemble look great!

Cool presents! And that's the first pillowcase dress I've seen. I swear, Atlanta's not really the South at all. Congrats on the induction. By the way, my mom's birthday is June 29th. If your little gal is born then maybe every year for her birthday you can serve Fantas-taco soup at her party!

First of all, I LOVE that you have me as "niners" in your blog
second, I totally cracked up when I thought of us in french, talking and getting in trouble everyday
third, thanks for the compliment on the shoulders, you made my day. I do push-ups every once in awhile, but i think it's from pushing the jogging stroller when I run.
forth, Scarlette Grace is a fabulous name, and im thinking she may be pretty close to being here if she isn't already, so... good luck and keep us posted.
